Adult classes are $8 per class hour. Material and Lab Fees may apply.
Beginning Drawingwith Jennifer Bock-Nelson
Tuesdays 6 - 8 p.m. April 10th - May 8th
Introductory studio drawing course, no prior drawing experience required. The primary emphasis will be observational drawing with a focus on composition, proportion, perspective, and rendering. High School students are welcome to register. There is an $80 Student Registration Fee and a $14 Material Fee.
Jennifer Bock-Nelson received her MFA from Northern Illinois University in 2004. She taught at the collegiate level for seven years at Northern Illinois University, Judson College, and Culver-Stockton College. Her work is exhibited both locally and nationally.

Learn how to create pottery on the wheel! White stoneware will be used with cone six glazes which are food safe. Material and lab fee includes 25 lbs of white stoneware, glaze, firing and open studio time during business hours. Students will also review loading and firing a kiln. Jeremy Young is a Quincy Potter and has shown his ware at events such as Riverfest.R

This class will explore lidded jars. Students will practice making lids inside, outside, and upside down! Students will also practice a variety of handle making. White stoneware will be used with cone six glazes. Material and lab fee includes 25 lbs of white stoneware, glaze, firing and open studio time during business hours. Additional 25 lbs clay bags may be purchased for $13 each. Prerequisite: Students must be able to throw a cylinder with ease.
