Adult (18+): Beginning Wheel Throwing

Never thrown on the wheel before? This is the class for you! Get an introduction to working on the potter’s wheel. This class will focus on understanding the medium of clay and critical analysis of the process in order to build artistic skills.

This class is an introduction to the basics of wheel throwing and is designed for students who have never thrown on the wheel or are in need of a refresher after years of being out of practice. This class is not recommended for experienced wheel throwers.

K-3rd Grade: Start With Art

Create a new project each week while exploring a different medium. Students will learn fundamentals of 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional art as they develop their creative problem solving skills.

4th-8th Grade: Creative Art

Scholarships

Art is for everyone!

The Art Center offers a scholarship program for children 18 years and younger who qualify for free or reduced lunch, or through recommendation letters from a group leader, pastor, or authority figure. Scholarships are awarded to students yearly and cover 4 classes during the course of that year. The scholarship covers 100% of the price of the class, including art supplies. However, households are responsible for computer and internet connection, in the case of online classes.

To receive a scholarship, please fill out a Scholarship Application Form and submit it to the Quincy Art Center.
