The Mary S. Oakley & Lee Lindsay Artist Showcase is open to artists 18 years of age and older living within a 50-mile radius of Quincy. Artists belonging to the Quincy Artist Guild and the Great River Watercolor Society living outside that region are also eligible to enter. Artists may enter work in any medium. All works must be original. All works must have been completed within the last three years (nothing before November 2016) and must not have been previously exhibited at the Art Center or their satellite exhibit spaces. Collaborative artwork is not eligible.
Each artist may submit up to three works. There is a $15 entry fee per artwork. Members receive a $5 discount per artwork. A signed entry form must be fully filled out and turned in with the artwork. Only works hand-delivered to the Art Center by November 12 at 4 p.m. will be eligible. Works must #t through a standard double doorway.
All wall-hung work must be framed and/or equipped with hanging devices. All other work must be ready to install. The Art Center reserves the right to install accepted works in any manner deemed necessary
Olivia Lahs-Gonzales Bour, artist and curator. Bour was Curator & Asst. Curator of Prints, Drawings & Photographs at Saint Louis Art Museum from 1996-2001 and the Director of the Sheldon Art Galleries, St. Louis 2001-2019.
Each year a new juror from outside the region with expertise in the visual arts is selected to choose the work for exhibition and awards. The staff and board of the Art Center are
never involved in this selection process.
Hand-Delivery and Pick-Up
All entries must be hand-delivered and picked-up by the artist or their agent during the times listed below. The accepted list will be emailed to all entered artists by Nov. 17th at 5 p.m.
