Craig Colorusso’s AWASH Art & Music Experience
July 16, 2022 @ 1PM - 2PMOn Saturday, July 16, join us for an afternoon of art and music! Sound artist Craig Colorusso, who visited Quincy in 2018 with Sun Boxes and CUBEMUSIC, will lead us through AWASH, a digital piece of music he has recently created. AWASH allows participants to create a unique experience with their cell phones.
Participants will walk around the galleries viewing the latest exhibits while listening to AWASH on their cell phones, composing music through the process. This event will be held in the exhibits currently on display at The Art Center, including selections from our Permanent Collection featuring gifts from George M. Irwin in the Sinnock Gallery and our student-curated Permanent Collection exhibit in the Stevenson Gallery.
This event goes from 1 PM - 2 PM and is free and open to the public. The Art Center is located at 1515 Jersey St in Quincy, IL. Sponsors for the program are Celltech and Quincy Audiology.
