The photography of Kimberley Haugh Yates, a Quincy native, will be displayed at Quincy Medical Group, 1118 Hampshire St., Second Floor, March 1 – May 30, 2024. Artwork on display will feature colorful macrophotography of flowers, insects, birds, and other subjects in nature.

Artist Bio: Born and raised in Quincy, Kimberly Haugh Yates received her first camera as a Christmas gift when she was 17-years-old. Since then, she almost always has one in her hand; her family is so used to her walking around snapping pictures that they can literally stop, pose, and continue with what they were doing almost without even noticing she was there. But it’s when she’s out in nature that her camera really becomes an extension of herself; a way to slow down and see the world in a clearer, more beautiful way. With an emphasis on macrophotography, Kimberly’s work focuses on some of the most beautiful flora and fauna of the MidWest. She has exhibited in galleries like the In Your Eye Gallery in Oklahoma City, the Fontbonne University Fine Art Gallery in St. Louis and the Tim Murphy Gallery in Kansas City.
