Katie Koca Polite has curated exhibitions utilizing works from the George M. Irwin Collection and was instrumental in negotiating the recent gifts from the Irwin estate to KAM. Polite will talk about the importance of collecting and advocating for regional and Illinois-based artists. George Irwin advocated and collected the important work of artists. Learn how you can also advocate for artists.
This Exhibit Talk is in coordination with The Art Center's Permanent Collection Exhibit, featuring the gifts of George M. Irwin now on display in the Elizabeth M. Sinnock Gallery through June 25, 2022. This event is free and open to the public.
Light refreshments will be served.
The Art Center is located at 1515 Jersey St in Quincy. Art Center exhibits are free to the public.
