Exquisite Miniatures by Wes and Rachelle Siegrist
Date  September 5-November 5, 2020 @ 1PM - 4PM

Join us for Exquisite Miniatures by Wes and Rachelle Siegrist!

Wes and Rachelle Siegrist, of Tennessee, mesmerize viewers with miniature paintings so exquisitely crafted that they are often mistaken for tiny photographs. The works typically measure less than 9 square inches and appear even more detailed when viewed under magnification. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own magnifying glasses to view the artwork. Visitors may bring their own magnifying glasses or check out sanitized magnifying glasses, available at the front desk. Over fifty paintings will include landscapes, portraits, still lifes, wildlife, and other subjects. A hallmark of their work is their ability to convey the feeling of a larger canvas or the essence of the natural world in miniature. Miniature art has been in existence for centuries and the current revival in its popularity has given rise to miniature art societies which in turn have given the Siegrists a platform for international recognition among peers and collectors.

Wes and Rachelle Siegrist are members of the Miniature Artists of America, the Miniature Art Society of Florida, the Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers Society of Washington, D.C., the Cider Painters of America, and the Hilliard Society of England. They are the authors of the world’s first standard definition of miniature art adopted by the Association of Miniaturist Artists. EXQUISITE MINIATURES is produced by David J. Wagner, L.L.C., with company President, David J. Wagner, Ph.D., serving as Curator/Tour Director. You can enjoy viewing this exhibit in person or portions of it online at quincyartcenter.org.
