Kathy Hyer, a lifelong resident of Quincy, Illinois earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education from Illinois State University and a Master’s degree in Education from Southwest Baptist University. She taught art for 33 numerous area schools and universities. Hyer enjoys working in many different art mediums, but her newest interest is pastel. She works from photographs of the places she has traveled.
