Ladybug Cathedral by Craig Colorusso featuring Michael Vera Eastmond
July 15, 2022 @ 7PM - 9PMOn Friday, July 15, join us on the east lawn of Quincy Art Center at 7 PM as we welcome back sound artist Craig Colorusso. Colorusso, who visited Quincy in 2018 with Sun Boxes and CUBEMUSIC, will perform his guitar composition, "Ladybug Cathedral." Percussionist Michael Vera Eastmond will accompany Colorusso on gongs.
This event is an opportunity to de-stress and decompress. The composition is intended to improvise with Mother Nature and enhance what’s already there. The sound is a perfect vehicle to find stillness in the wild. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. In case of inclement weather, we will be indoors.
Ladybug-shaped cookies and lavender lemonade will be served. The event goes until 9 PM and is free and open to the public. The Art Center is located at 1515 Jersey St in Quincy, IL. Sponsors for the program are Celltech and Quincy Audiology.
